The Lost Heroes Art Quilt honors and tells the story of those who gave their lives since 9/11 in Iraq and Afghanistan. Wolfeboro’s Cpl. Matthew Stanley, who was killed in Iraq in December, 2006 is N.H.’s representative in the quilt.

The Lost Heroes Art Quilt was dedicated in September, 2009. In its inaugural month, the quilt was displayed on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol, the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center, the National Marine Corp Museum in Quantico, and the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. It has since been traveling around the country as a reminder that freedom is not free. The Wright Museum is the only N.H. stop.
The Wright Museum is a non-profit institution devoted to educating learners of all ages. With its nationally-significant collection of fully-operational military vehicles and vast collections relating to the American Home Front, the Wright Museum is a member-supported national treasure located right here in New Hampshire.
